Google Cloud, AR Rahman to Create AI-Powered Music Avatars
Google Cloud has revealed a partnership with Secret Mountain, a digital avatar music group created by composer AR Rahman featuring metahuman characters.
This partnership will utilize Google Cloud's technology infrastructure and artificial intelligence systems to support Secret Mountain's digitally-generated avatars in producing engaging musical content and narrative experiences.
Secret Mountain represents an innovative entertainment venture that develops lifelike digital characters capable of appearing, moving, and expressing emotions similar to actual people in live interactions.

The initiative features six culturally varied digital personas, such as Cara, an Irish musician and songwriter, Zen Tam, a rapper from Tamil culture, and Blessing, who serves as both a percussionist and singer from Africa.
Google Cloud's technological foundation and AI systems will support Secret Mountain's avatar development, incorporating Veo 3 technology for avatar representation and video production, along with Imagen combined with Gemini Flash 2.5 Image for superior visual content generation.

The digital characters' cognitive capabilities and interactive communication features will be powered by Gemini 2.5 Pro, which has been developed using specialized data collections and functions as a comprehensive conversational system enabling direct interaction with audiences.
