Hero Motors Sets Up Global Parts Center in Madanapalem, AP

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the foundation stone for Hero MotoCorp’s Rs.750 crore Global Parts Center (GPC 2.0) at Madanapalem in Satyavedu Mandal of Tirupati district on July 1, signifying another significant industrial investment in Andhra Pradesh.

The new Global Parts Center is being set up to produce and provide two-wheeler spare parts for Hero MotoCorp’s manufacturing facilities and dealer network.

The plant will manufacture parts for motorcycles, scooters, and electric vehicles (EVs) aimed at both local and global markets and is anticipated to create jobs and income opportunities for approximately 4,000 individuals.

Hero MotoCorp currently has an advanced two-wheeler manufacturing plant close to Sri City that has a yearly production capacity of 1.5 million vehicles. The updated GPC will enhance the company’s supply chain and broaden its production presence in Andhra Pradesh.

As part of the program, the Chief Minister will unveil the ‘Heroes of Tomorrow’ scholarship initiative, named in honor of Hero Group founder Brijmohan Lall Munjal. Hero MotoCorp will offer the scholarships through the Swarnandhra Foundation.

The firm, which is already a leading partner in the state's P4 initiative, has chosen to assist students through this program.

 

Hero MotoCorp will additionally present specially designed electric mobility vehicles for the Andhra Pradesh Police, attended by the Chief Minister. In the afternoon, Chandrababu Naidu will take part in the ‘Pedala Sevalo’ program at Punnapuvaripalem in Chillakuru Mandal, Nellore district, where he will hand out NTR Bharosa pensions. The state government will distribute pensions totaling Rs 2,750 crore to 62 lakh recipients, which include senior citizens, widows, and other qualifying groups.

In line with the programme, the Chief Minister plans to visit a beneficiary's home in Punnapuvaripalem village to deliver the pension prior to speaking at a public gathering. He will spend the night at the Sri City guesthouse.

Earlier, Hero MotoCorp launched a comprehensive road safety initiative called Ride Safe India, in honor of National Road Safety Month. This initiative aims to encourage responsible driving habits and intends to shift road safety from a compliance attitude to a daily social obligation.

In line with the MoRTH 4Es of Road Safety, the campaign aims to combine Education, Engineering, Enforcement, and Emergency Care through practical interventions, community involvement, and technology-based awareness programs throughout Delhi, Gurugram, Lucknow, Hyderabad, and Jaipur.

The initiative leverages Hero MotoCorp’s ten-year dedication that has benefited 1.6 million individuals throughout India. By implementing consistent awareness campaigns, rider education initiatives, and traffic park activities, these efforts have greatly contributed to instilling safer riding habits, highlighting the Company’s enduring goal of incorporating road safety into daily mobility in India.

The initiative seeks to create a significant impact by targeting students, gig workers, and female riders. Working alongside the Traffic Police, Regional Transport Authorities, and Educational Institutions, Hero MotoCorp seeks to advance beyond mere awareness, concentrating on capacity development and behavioral changes that foster a lasting culture of road safety.
