India and Israel Sign a Pact on Defence Cooperation

The Ministry of Defence states that India and Israel have signed an agreement on defence collaboration aimed at establishing a cohesive vision and policy framework to strengthen the already robust relationship between the nations.
The MoU was signed at the 17th Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting on defence cooperation, co-chaired by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and Maj Gen (Res) Amir Baram, Director General of Israeli Ministry of Defense, in Tel Aviv, according to reports.
The statement indicated that various areas for collaboration have been recognized in the MoU that will be advantageous for both nations, encompassing strategic discussions of shared interest, training, defense industrial collaboration, and capabilities such as science and technology, research and development, technological innovation, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity cooperation.

“The MoU will facilitate the exchange of cutting-edge technology and support joint development and joint production,” the ministry stated.
It also stated that the JWG assessed the current defense collaboration efforts and concluded that both countries have gained from each other's advantages.

The two parties talked about possible future collaboration areas in technology and improving operational capabilities and they also considered various matters, including mutual challenges of terrorism, and emphasized their united determination to combat the threat.

“The defence partnership between India and Israel is longstanding, founded on profound mutual trust and common security interests,” the ministry stated.
In a distinct announcement released by Israel's Ministry of Defense, the Indian delegation held discussions with Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz.
