Jaishankar Urges Call to Supply Chain Resilience at Quad Meet

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar highlighted the significance of building partnerships to enhance supply chain resilience at the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New Delhi.
He pointed out the issues concerning connectivity bottlenecks, production abilities, resource allocation, and the gaps in essential infrastructure.

The minister also highlighted that enhancing cooperation in these areas could strengthen regional stability and security.

Considering the advancements achieved in recent months, Jaishankar highlighted joint efforts in key areas like maritime security, crucial technologies, and economic resilience. Jaishankar stressed that the Quad countries, being maritime democracies and market economies, have a collective duty to support the tenets of a free and open Indo-Pacific.

The meeting of Quad Foreign Ministers saw the presence of important delegates, such as Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong, Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, per Jaishankar's invitation. The gathering aims to expand on the foundation created during their earlier meeting in Washington, D.C., on July 1, 2025. The day's agenda was comprehensive, addressing multiple important subjects.
