Juniper Green Energy Signs Power Purchase Agreement with GUVNL

Juniper Green Energy announced it has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) for a 100 MW wind energy project. The 25-year contract has been finalized via its subsidiary, Juniper Green Bess Two Pvt Ltd.

The initiative, governed by the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), will be situated in Gujarat and is set to start delivering electricity from July 2027.

The pact between Juniper Green Energy division and GUVNL was finalized this month on July 18.

Ankush Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Juniper Green Energy, stated, 'We are thrilled to collaborate with GUVNL to provide sustainable wind energy through the execution of a 100 MW PPA."

Juniper Green Energy enhances its foothold in Gujarat with the extra 50 MW Letter of Intent (LoI) obtained from GUVNL.

On July 14, Juniper Green Energy obtained a Letter of Intent from GUVNL for the establishment of a supplementary 50 MW wind energy project. This LoI comes after the company's winning proposal for GUVNL's wind tender released in January 2025.

Juniper Green Energy is an independent producer of renewable energy in India, concentrating on the development, construction, and operation of large-scale solar, wind, and hybrid renewable energy projects.

As of December 31, 2024, the firm ranks among the top 10 largest renewable independent power producers in India based on total capacity. They design, construct, manage, and sustain projects using internal engineering, sourcing, building, operational, and maintenance teams.

Their portfolio comprises projects in wind, solar, wind-solar hybrid, and stable and controllable renewable energy, incorporating battery energy storage systems. As of May 31, 2025, their overall portfolio totals around 10,069 MWp distributed across 48 projects in four states of India.
