“Karnataka should emerge as the capital of defence electronics manufacturing. Plans are afoot to establish a dedicated 200-acre Defence Electronics Park and a 100-acre Avionics and Sensor Park”.

“These projects will be implemented once the Special Investment Region comes into existence. There will be no difficulty in making land available for these initiatives”, he says.

He observed that the state was leading the way in the aerospace and defense industries nationwide, emphasizing that the state was offering all necessary resources to stimulate development in these sectors.

Patil reiterated a commitment to providing these facilities and encouraged input on a strategic roadmap for the sectors' development. Patil stated that the State has already requested the Central Government to authorize defense corridor initiatives in the Bengaluru North–Kolar–Chikkaballapur and Dharawada–Vijayapura–Belagavi regions.

During the meeting, it was noted that industrialists emphasized the possibility of establishing a comparable corridor linking Bengaluru and Mysuru. Suzuki and Toyota have plans to introduce aerial taxi services in Japan by 2028, with Bengaluru's Sasmos providing electrical equipment for the project.

Business leaders have proposed that comparable "fly-taxi" services could potentially be implemented in Bengaluru through the development of a suitable policy framework.

Members of the Vision Group highlighted the necessity of establishing a network of dry ports within the Automotive and Electric Vehicle (EV) industries. Patil observed that the Tata Group is presently engaged in the production of electric buses in Dharwad and distributing them nationwide.
