Aman Kirloskar Appointed MD of Kirloskar Pneumatic

Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Limited (KPCL) announced that its Board of Directors has sanctioned the selection of Aman Kirloskar as Managing Director for a period of five years commencing on April 1, 2026, and concluding on March 31, 2031, pending approval from shareholders.

Aman Kirloskar embarked on his professional journey with the Kirloskar Group in May 2018, assuming the role of Supply Chain Manager at Kirloskar Chillers Private Limited. In August 2019, he transitioned to Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Limited as a Senior Manager.

His role was further elevated to General Manager (Operations) in 2020, where he has taken on the responsibility of overseeing various key functions such as manufacturing, supply chain, foundry, plant engineering, and quality within the Air Compressor and Transmission Divisions.

During the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, he played a key role in increasing the production of screw compressors to meet the surge in demand for oxygen and necessary machinery. Following this success, he assumed the position of Head of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration business unit the following year.

In this capacity, he has spearheaded the introduction and successful marketing of new products, resulting in a substantial growth in sales and profitability within the division.

 

Aman completed his undergraduate studies at Bryant University in 2017, earning a degree in Global Supply Chain Management with a minor in Political Science. He demonstrated exceptional performance in both his academic pursuits and professional endeavors, culminating in the prestigious University-Wide Jeremiah Clark Barber Commencement Award.

Furthermore, Kirloskar Pneumatic Company has been tentatively selected by the Indian government in the most recent phase of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for white goods, signifying a notable achievement for the engineering firm. The initial approval within the PLI program for household appliances marks a significant advancement for Kirloskar Pneumatic Company.

The Production Linked Incentive initiative aims to enhance the country's manufacturing capacities and diminish India's reliance on imported goods in critical industries. This choice strategically places the company in a position to take advantage of government incentives designed to encourage domestic manufacturing of household appliances.

The Production Linked Incentive (PLI) program commonly provides monetary incentives tied to increased sales and investments, assisting companies in expanding their manufacturing capabilities.

The White Goods PLI scheme is a component of the government's wider manufacturing strategy aimed at enhancing India's standing as a leading global manufacturing center. This initiative is specifically designed to promote the domestic manufacturing of consumer appliances and decrease reliance on imports within this industry.
