Mohanraaj Ravichandran Joins Sony Pictures Networks India

Mohanraaj Ravichandran has assumed the position of Head of On-Air Promotion for the Tamil market at Sony Pictures Networks India.

Mohanraaj has transitioned to the network after holding a position at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, where he had been the Producer of On-Air Promotion (OAP) since 2019.

In his newly appointed role, he will be accountable for spearheading on-air promotional strategies and elevating audience engagement within the Tamil market.

Before his time at Zee Entertainment, Mohanraaj was affiliated with Viacom18 Media Private Limited, where he initiated his career in 2017, assuming the role of Producer in On-Air Promotions (OAP).

With nearly 10 years of experience in the media and entertainment sector, he possesses a comprehensive skill set that spans video production, film production, content development, project management, film editing, and post-production.

Furthermore, he demonstrates exceptional abilities in creative ideation and television programming.

 

Previously, Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has established a novel broadcasting agreement with the LIV Golf League to provide extensive coverage of the 2026 season throughout South Asia and Central Asia.

As per the agreement, the matches will be broadcast on the traditional television channels of Sony Sports Network and streamed via Sony LIV, thereby extending coverage to viewers in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan, and the Maldives. This collaboration enhances Sony Pictures Networks India's expanding portfolio in sports while broadening the presence of LIV Golf in crucial emerging markets.

The partnership enhances SPNI's current broadcast arrangement for the 2026 International Series, a cooperative initiative between LIV Golf and the Asian Tour. Collectively, these agreements will offer audiences comprehensive access to the entire LIV Golf ecosystem, encompassing rising talent as well as distinguished global competitors.

The 2026 season of the LIV Golf League will encompass 14 tournaments spread across 10 nations and five continents, with notable events in Asia, including those in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the forthcoming event in Korea slated for May 28–31. Sony's broadcasting commenced with the LIV Golf event in South Africa and is set to persist until the season's conclusion at the Aramco LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship in August.

Enthusiasts from the entire region will have the opportunity to watch an international lineup of elite players such as Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson, and Sergio García, as well as emerging talents. These players will participate in a unique format that seamlessly integrates individual and team competitions across 13 teams.
