Motorola India Appoints Ipshita Chowdhury as Marketing Head

Motorola India has named Ipshita Chowdhury as the new Marketing Head for India, entrusting her with the responsibility of guiding the company's brand strategy and integrated marketing efforts throughout the nation.

Ipshita has taken over the position previously held by Gagandeep Bedi, who has now assumed the role of Asia Pacific Marketing Strategy and Operations Lead.

Both individuals will be reporting directly to Shivam Ranjan, who serves as the Head of Marketing for Motorola in the Asia Pacific region.

In her recently acquired position, Ipshita will dedicate her efforts towards enhancing the brand's presence and fostering growth in a crucial market for Motorola.

India continues to serve as a vital region for the smartphone manufacturer, particularly amidst heightened competition in both premium and mass market segments.

Ipshita is an experienced marketing expert with more than 20 years of industry knowledge. She has successfully served in key management positions within the telecommunications, automotive, and fast-moving consumer goods industries.

Throughout her career, she has contributed to the success of renowned international corporations including Nokia, Microsoft, Philips, and Valvoline Cummins.

 

Shivam Ranjan remarked on the appointment by stating that India remains a crucial catalyst for growth for Motorola. He acknowledged Bedi's efforts in strengthening the company's brand presence over the previous year, emphasizing that his broader regional role will enhance strategic alignment within the Asia Pacific markets.

Bedi will work closely with the leadership and marketing heads of Asia Pacific region in his new role to improve the regional strategy, increase operational effectiveness, and capitalize on growth prospects in both established and emerging markets.

Ipshita conveyed her excitement about joining Motorola during a period of significant market growth.

She characterized the brand as being synonymous with purposeful innovation and technology leadership, expressing eagerness to foster stronger consumer relationships and enhance its expansion in India.

Earlier, at the 2026 Mobile World Congress, Motorola recently garnered attention with the unveiling of an enhanced security system. As a subsidiary of Lenovo, the company introduced a range of innovative security and business applications.

This includes a new collaboration with the GrapheneOS Foundation, the introduction of Moto Analytics, and an upgraded Moto Secure platform. Motorola's commitment to distinguishing itself in the areas of privacy, device administration, and safeguarding data is evident.

Motorola is said to be collaborating with GrapheneOS, a company known for its highly secure version of the Android operating system. The goal is to ensure that Motorola's upcoming smartphones are seamlessly integrated with GrapheneOS, providing enhanced privacy and security for both individual consumers and corporate clients.
