Fashion e-commerce platform Myntra is integrating artificial intelligence more thoroughly into its customer experience, seller network, and engineering functions to enhance customer interaction, speed up seller onboarding, and reduce product development timelines.

The Walmart-owned firm announced on that AI has shortened seller onboarding periods from 10-15 days to approximately one-two days, while the time needed for catalog generation has decreased from a day to roughly four hours.

The company stated that AI has boosted the speed of feature rollouts by 40 percent and cut down the duration needed for supply chain simulations from two days to one hour.

Myntra reported that 90 percent of its monthly active users now engage in personalized search, and its AI-driven size recommendation system encompasses 85 percent of the applicable clothing range. Its conversational support platform, Meera, addresses over 30 percent of standard customer inquiries, enabling support teams to concentrate on more complicated matters.

The firm is also broadening AI-driven shopping experiences through conversational commerce, situational styling, and virtual clothing suggestions.

These features focus on enhancing fashion discovery to be more intuitive by assisting users in visualising entire outfits rather than searching for single items.

Pramod Adiddam, the chief technology officer at Myntra, states that fashion commerce poses distinct challenges beyond typical search due to the fast evolution of trends and the highly personal nature of consumer preferences. The company is thus investing in AI models that customize search results, storefronts, and recommendations for every shopper.

“Fashion shopping is inherently visual. We want to create a fashion-native conversational experience where users can discover products, styling ideas and complete looks rather than simply receive text-based answers,” he says.

The company stated that its catalog system now produces 400-600 product videos each day and associates up to 40 product attributes to enhance product discovery. Within the organization, staff members are leveraging AI-driven tools to automate SQL creation, speed up analytics, and streamline software testing and diagnostics.

“We are also reimagining our own internal operations so we can ship more products, roll out more innovations and get them to customers and sellers much faster,” Adiddam says.

Myntra stated that all AI implementations function under human supervision, with governance and privacy protections integrated into the appropriate processes.
