New Relic Appoints Wendi Sturgis to its Board of Directors
New Relic, the Intelligent Observability company, today announced the appointment of Wendi Sturgis to its Board of Directors. Sturgis is a seasoned CEO and customer engagement leader with over two decades of experience scaling global technology brands.
Sturgis currently serves as a Senior Vice President at Yext, where she is responsible for the company's strategy and growth outside North America. Previously, Sturgis was the CEO of Cleverbridge, where she transformed the company into a high-growth engine for global tech firms.
Her career is marked by a unique blend of technical roots and commercial mastery, having overseen billion-dollar revenue organizations at Yahoo! and led the international expansion of enterprise software leaders. She has held several board and advisory positions at organizations including Sabre, The Container Store and the Georgia Tech Foundation.
Sturgis is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s AI/ML Intensive program, which enables her to provide a practical technical perspective to the Board’s oversight of New Relic’s AI innovation roadmap.

A five-time public company board member, Sturgis brings a distinguished track record of value creation and governance to the New Relic Board, combining her experience as a proven CEO and business leader with significant enterprise expertise. While at Cleverbridge, she launched strategic initiatives like CleverAutomations to revolutionize customer retention.
During her tenure at Yext, she built a world-class customer success organization that maintained a retention rate exceeding 90 percent. Beyond her operational success, Sturgis has overseen multi-billion dollar business mergers and major acquisitions, including the $1 billion sale of Kustomer to Meta Platforms.
