 
	            NMPA to Highlight Karnataka’s Maritime Capabilities
 
	        
At the India Maritime Week (IMW) 2025, the New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) will showcase Karnataka's marine sector strengths, eco-friendly port development projects, digitalization strategies, and new investment prospects.
The IMW 2025 event is scheduled to take place in Mumbai between October 27 and October 31. NMPA will join the gathering alongside various other industries representing coastal Karnataka.

NMPA Chairman AV Ramana will take part in Karnataka's state session called 'Exploring PPP synergies for a sustainable blue economy', which centers on leveraging public-private collaborations to promote sustainable development in ports, fishing industries, coastal infrastructure, and maritime innovation.
This session seeks to examine partnership frameworks that integrate policy measures, technological advancement, and community involvement to facilitate responsible investment and create lasting economic benefits for coastal regions.
He will lead a session focused on the cruise and passenger economy called 'Sailing into prosperity: Navigating opportunities in cruise and passenger mobility'.
This session will explore opportunities in coastal cruising, improvements to passenger terminals, leisure tourism infrastructure development, and international best practices to establish India as a competitive destination for cruise travel.

The session will highlight creating smooth passenger experiences through digital transformation, electronic visa assistance, effective luggage management, and simplified immigration processes.
Additionally, it will address environmentally friendly passenger transportation solutions including shore power systems, electric vehicle incorporation, and sustainable waste handling practices.
Ramana will participate as a speaker in the Global CEO Roundtable at the Maritime Digitalisation and Future Tech Summit.
