Prosenjit Mukherjee Joins Kalamandir Jewellers as CHRO

imgIn an October LinkedIn announcement, Prosenjit Mukherjee revealed his appointment as Chief Human Resources Officer at Kalamandir Jewellers Limited.

Mukherjee wrote: “I am happy to begin my journey with Kalamandir Jewellers Limited as Chief Human Resources Officer. I am grateful for the opportunity and look forward to collaborating with the leadership team and contributing to the growth and development of our most valuable asset – our people.”

His LinkedIn profile indicates that Mukherjee brings over two decades of HR expertise spanning multiple sectors including information technology, healthcare, manufacturing, market research, business process management, knowledge process outsourcing, and luxury retail.

He served as Chief Human Resources Officer at SRKay Consulting Group from July 2019 through September 2025, overseeing operations across India, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, United States, Hong Kong, Australia, and Canada. In this role, he managed worldwide HR strategy development, succession planning initiatives, and governance framework establishment.

From March 2014 to June 2019, Mukherjee held the position of CHRO at Azure Knowledge Corporation, a worldwide knowledge process outsourcing firm. His profile indicates he expanded operations internationally and established HR practices that facilitated industry certifications and recognitions.

Before this, he served as Head of HR at KocharTech during 2013-2014, managing policy development, talent acquisition, and performance management systems.

 

Mukherjee launched his HR profession at Aegis Limited, an Essar Group company, working there from 2006 to 2013. He advanced from a customer care representative role to Head of Talent Acquisition, overseeing extensive recruitment processes and HR operations across multiple regions.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Mukherjee has earned recognition as Global Laureate in HR (2025), Most Iconic HR-Tech Leader (2024), and Top HR Innovation Leader Asia-Pacific (2023).

He maintains membership in several professional organizations including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the National HRD Network (NHRD), and the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI). He is a contributor to Harvard Business Review's online discussion platform.

Mukherjee earned his bachelor's degree in commerce from Annamalai University and completed a management development program focused on HRD and learning at XLRI Jamshedpur in 2010. Kalamandir Jewellers operates as a high-end jewelry retailer in India and has been growing its footprint in the organized retail sector. According to his LinkedIn post, Mukherjee will assume the role of Chief Human Resources Officer beginning in October 2025.
