Piyush Goyal Holds Talks With Saudi Arabia to Boost India-Saudi Trade

imgUnion Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal engaged in discussions with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Investment, Khalid Al-Falih, to enhance trade and investment relations between their nations. 

The online meeting concentrated on fostering stronger economic connections, supporting mutual development, encouraging innovation, and exploring enduring collaboration. 

Goyal shared information about the meeting on social media, saying, "Had a productive conversation with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Investment @Khalid_AlFalih. We talked about reinforcing investment and trade relations between India and Saudi Arabia, highlighting mutual advancement, innovation, and long-term partnerships." 

This conversation occurred the day after Goyal had another virtual meeting with HE Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Economy and Planning. 

That discussion centered on enhancing the India-Saudi Arabia trade and investment alliance and pinpointing collaboration areas in essential sectors. 

The two ministers discussed potential collaboration in fields such as pharmaceuticals, petroleum, ceramics, and others.

 

Goyal also extended an invitation to Minister Al-Ibrahim to visit India soon, aiming to strengthen the relationship through direct interaction.

"We focused on reinforcing India-Saudi Arabia connections, emphasizing the enhancement of our trade and investment partnership and cooperation in vital sectors like pharmaceuticals, petroleum, ceramics, etc. I also invited His Excellency to visit India at the earliest opportunity. We are optimistic about the promising growth opportunities ahead for both countries," Goyal remarked. 

These consecutive meetings highlight India's persistent endeavors to bolster ties with Saudi Arabia. Both nations seek to broaden collaboration across various sectors, encourage innovation, and secure long-term, sustainable growth.
