The initiatives were inaugurated via a video conference from Guwahati, where the Prime Minister delivered a speech during the event due to adverse weather conditions prompting the cancellation of his visit to Kokrajhar.

One of the main announcements included the inauguration of three new train services designed to enhance connectivity in the area: the Kamakhya–Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express, Guwahati–New Jalpaiguri Express, and Narangi-Agartala Express.

The Prime Minister inaugurated the construction of a Periodic Overhauling (POH) Workshop in Bashbari, located in the Kokrajhar district. This establishment is projected to bolster the maintenance capacities of the railway and enhance the operational effectiveness of the local rail infrastructure.

In alignment with the overarching development agenda, Prime Minister Modi remotely took part in the ceremonial groundbreaking for Assam Mala 3.0, a significant initiative aimed at enhancing road infrastructure by building over 900 kilometers of roads.
