PM Modi to Launch Projects on Chhattisgarh Foundation Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to travel to Chhattisgarh to participate in commemorating the state's 25th founding anniversary and will launch or commence development initiatives valued at Rs 14,260 crore, as per media reports. The state of Chhattisgarh, which was previously a region within Madhya Pradesh, became an independent state on November 1, 2000.

The Prime Minister is expected to land at 9.40 am and proceed to Shri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, where he will meet with 2,500 children who have received successful treatment for congenital heart conditions during the 'Gift of life' event.

Following this, he will reveal a monument dedicated to the late former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the newly constructed Chhattisgarh legislative assembly in Nava Raipur. Modi will also open the new assembly facility and deliver a speech to attendees.

Around 1.30 pm, the PM is set to open and tour the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial and Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum in Nava Raipur, according to reports. The prime minister will introduce the museum's online portal and digital publication "Aadi Shourya" celebrating freedom fighters, and will reveal an equestrian statue of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh at the location.

Following these events, the PM will join the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav celebration, commemorating the state's 25-year milestone.

Modi will launch and initiate groundwork for development projects exceeding Rs 14,260 crore value, encompassing important areas including transportation, manufacturing, medical services, and power generation, according to sources.

 

He will launch 12 additional Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) blocks spanning nine districts. The PM will begin construction of the four-lane greenfield expressway connecting Pathalgaon-Kunkuri to the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand boundary, which is being built through the Bharatmala Project by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) with an investment of Rs 3,150 crore.

Modi is set to launch nine newly constructed power substations that were developed with an investment of approximately Rs 480 crore throughout various districts including Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Bemetara, Gariyaband and Bastar. The Prime Minister will also open HPCL's modern Petroleum Oil Depot facility in Raipur, which was constructed with an expenditure exceeding Rs 460 crore and features a storage capability of 54,000 Kilolitres for petrol, diesel and ethanol.

Furthermore, he will commission the 489 kilometer Nagpur-Jharsuguda Natural Gas Pipeline, developed at an expense of approximately Rs 1,950 crore. This pipeline will link 11 districts within Chhattisgarh to the National Gas Grid network.

Prime Minister Modi will additionally establish the groundwork for two Smart Industrial Areas, with one located at Siladehi-Gatwa-Birra in Janjgir-Champa district and the second situated at Bijletala in Rajnandgaon district.

Moreover, he will initiate the groundbreaking ceremony for a Pharmaceutical Park positioned at Sector 22, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.
