PM Modi Visit Jordan, Ethiopia, and Oman

Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his trip to Jordan, Ethiopia, and Oman, nations that India claims have civilizational ties and solid bilateral relations with New Delhi.

"Initially, I will travel to Jordan, at the request of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein. This landmark visit will commemorate 75 years of diplomatic ties between our two nations," Naendra Modi.

While in Jordan, the prime minister is set to engage in comprehensive talks with King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Prime Minister Jafar Hassan. He will likewise meet Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah during the visit.

Simultaneously, the diversification of trade and investment is anticipated to gain momentum during Modi’s trip to Oman, where a potential announcement regarding the India-Oman Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement is set to be discussed. The arrangement is anticipated to be the main result of the Muscat trip later this week.

Modi is scheduled to visit Oman on December 17 and 18. India refers to Oman as its longest-standing strategic ally in the Gulf area. While on the visit, the prime minister will speak to business leaders from each nation at a business forum. Commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal is expected to attend the event where the proposed CEPA might be revealed.

Modi stated that the visit to Oman would commemorate 70 years of diplomatic relations between India and the Sultanate of Oman. In Muscat, he will engage in talks with the Sultan of Oman to enhance the strategic partnership and increase trade and economic collaboration between the two nations.

During his trips to Jordan and Oman, Modi will also visit Ethiopia, which will be his first trip to the African country. In Ethiopia, the prime minister is set to speak at a joint session of Parliament, where he will express his perspectives on India's path as the "Mother of Democracy" and highlight the significance of the partnership between India and Ethiopia for the Global South.
