Pocket FM Appoints Meta AI Scientist Vasu Sharma as Head of AI
Pocket FM has named Vasu Sharma, previously employed at Meta's Facebook AI Research (FAIR) division, as their head of AI. Sharma will be reporting to Prateek Dixit, one of the co-founders of Pocket FM, and will be responsible for leading the platform's AI research and applied innovation initiatives.
Vasu will oversee operations involving narrative development, production analysis, and extensive localization in his new position, concentrating on enhancing Pocket FM's capabilities in AI-driven storytelling and content production.

Before becoming a part of Pocket FM, Vasu was employed at Meta AI, where he played a significant role in various multimodal and extensive language model initiatives like Llama, Chameleon, MaVIL, and audio-video foundation models.
During his tenure, he has authored more than 90 research papers which have been presented at prestigious conferences such as NeurIPS, CVPR, ACL, EMNLP, and ICLR, amassing over 10,000 citations.

Vasu is responsible for furthering the development of Pocket FM's exclusive AI CoPilot and Pocket LLMs, which aid in various aspects of storytelling such as idea generation, writing, plot creation, editing, emotional tone adjustment, and adaptation into multiple languages.
Additionally, he will focus on enhancing AI models specifically geared towards fiction and expanding AI-supported production processes, all while upholding a creative approach led by human effort.
