Procter & Gamble Appoints Shailesh Jejurikar as President & CEO

Tide maker Procter & Gamble Company announces that chief operating officer Shailesh Jejurikar will replace Jon Moeller as the company's president and chief executive officer, effective 1 January 2026. This positions Jejurikar as the first Indian to lead the worldwide consumer goods company.
On 1 January 2026, Jon Moeller will assume the role of executive chairman at Procter & Gamble. Moeller, who assumed the position in 2021, will chair the board of directors and offer guidance and support to the CEO regarding company issues.
The action takes place as numerous consumer goods manufacturers encounter a difficult business atmosphere. Growing rivalry from domestic brands and the prospect of elevated US import tariffs pose risks to profitability and consumer interest. This has resulted in considerable leadership alterations in the recent past. For example, Debra Crew, the CEO of Diageo, resigned earlier this month after serving in the role for two years.
Jejurikar, who started with P&G in 1989, has been part of P&G’s global leadership team since 2014, serving in multiple senior leadership positions across categories, sectors, and regions.

He has contributed to steering the evolution of the company's revamped strategies and performance outcomes in supply chain, information technology, and global business services. Jejurikar is a graduate of IIM, Lucknow.
P&G offers brands including Ambi Pur, Ariel, Gillette, Head & Shoulders, Olay, Oral-B, Pampers, Pantene, Tide, Vicks, and Whisper, among others.

For the year ending 31 December 2024, the company's worldwide net sales increased by 2 percent to reach $84 billion. The organization functions through three business divisions in India.
“The Company has continued to consistently deliver strong growth and value creation through Jon’s steady leadership as CEO. A strong plan is in place for sustained success, and now is the time to transition to Shailesh as CEO,” says Joe Jimenez, lead director of P&G’s board.
"Shailesh is an outstanding leader, and the company will benefit from his ongoing leadership to build on the strong foundation he has helped create,” Joe adds.
