Radico Khaitan Appoints Kunal Madan as Chief Marketing Officer

Radico Khaitan Limited has promoted two senior executives from within the company to key leadership roles as the domestic spirits manufacturer intensifies its emphasis on premiumization and the development of its global brand

The company announced that Kunal Madan has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer, and Sudhir Upadhyay has been elevated to the position of Chief Sales Officer.

Both individuals bring more than 10 years of experience with the company and are recognized members of the next-generation leadership team, carefully cultivated by Managing Director Abhishek Khaitan.

The rise in leadership coincides with Radico's heightened focus on premium spirits, a market segment that has played a significant role in boosting profits and increasing the company's presence in global markets.

With more than 25 years of industry experience, Sudhir, who previously held the position of National Sales Head, will now assume responsibility for managing distribution expansion and implementation in various markets.

With an extensive background spanning over two decades in international sales and marketing, Kunal will be responsible for guiding the comprehensive marketing strategy, brand structure, and the advancement of premium products, particularly targeting duty-free retail channels.

Amar Sinha recently resigned from his position as Chief Operating Officer after making significant contributions to various stages of growth and brand development. Khaitan recognized Sinha's contributions to the company's success in a statement and expressed gratitude for his dedication.

Amar described his experience with the company as a great privilege and attributed the strategic direction of the company to Khaitan's leadership.

In an effort to enhance its premium offerings, the company appointed Ajay Kakkar as the leader of the Premium On-Trade division last year. Kakkar's primary responsibility is to target modern and institutional channels in order to increase the company's presence in high-growth consumption segments.
