Rubrik CEO Says India-US AI Ties Spur Potential in Education

Bipul Sinha, the Chairman and CEO of the prominent security and artificial intelligence firm Rubrik has expressed that a collaboration between India and the US in the field of AI presents significant potential for advancements in various sectors such as healthcare, education, vocational training, and digital literacy.
Sinha is scheduled to participate in the upcoming India AI Impact Summit taking place in New Delhi from February 16 to 20. This summit will bring together prominent figures, decision-makers, and creative minds from various regions to engage in in-depth conversations regarding the future of artificial intelligence.

Sinha, the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and The Wharton School alumnus who co-founded the Palo Alto-headquartered Rubrik in 2014, highlighted that as investment and technology propel India's growth, "so America and India coming together, particularly around AI, the opportunity is tremendous to deliver healthcare, deliver education, deliver job training, digital literacy, AI literacy and AI-enablement of the population”.
"And AI could be a very, very strong partnership between America and India that helps American businesses deliver the right technology to Indian organisations and for India to really uplift the population into a very large and thriving middle class,” he said.
Sinha termed Artificial Intelligence as the “most transformational technology in our lifetime”, saying it will have “significant implications" for individuals, societies, businesses as well as nation states.
He mentioned that for both individuals and society, the implementation of AI will involve providing job training and adapting to new work routines. From a business standpoint, AI presents a combination of risks and potential rewards.

In the current era of the new industrial age, the presence of artificial intelligence holds considerable importance for a nation state. Sinha characterized AI as the "modern industrial era," stating that the emerging intelligence factory relies on GPUs, data centers, and substantial investments, posing a significant challenge for numerous nations.
Rubrik is a pioneering force in the realm where data protection, cyber resilience, and enterprise AI acceleration converge. The Rubrik Security Cloud offers comprehensive cyber resilience through safeguarding, monitoring, and restoring data, identities, and workloads across various cloud platforms.
Additionally, the Rubrik Agent Cloud streamlines the deployment of reliable AI agents on a large scale by overseeing and evaluating their actions, implementing immediate safeguards, refining for precision, and rectifying any mistakes made by the agents. This was disclosed by the company.

The upcoming conference in New Delhi represents the inaugural AI summit to be held in the Global South, with a focus on the core values of 'People, Planet, and Progress'. Sinha expressed enthusiastic anticipation at the opportunity to participate in the Summit, noting that the core principles of "people, planet, progress" which serve as the thematic underpinning of the event resonate strongly with him. He illustrated the interconnectedness of these concepts by referencing the impact of AI on individuals, the environment, and technological advancement.
