Sonata Software CEO Samir Dhir to Step Down
Sonata Software Ltd declared the appointment of Rajsekhar Datta Roy as the Chief Executive Officer for a tenure of three years, commencing on May 9, 2026. In this role, he will oversee the company's global operations.
Datta Roy, who presently holds the position of Chief Delivery Officer, possesses more than thirty years of expertise in expanding technology practices and directing global delivery organizations for major enterprise clients.

He has been instrumental in broadening the company's Dynamics and Microsoft practices to include industry-specific solutions and has spearheaded the development of strategies, execution, and market-entry initiatives.
The organization stated that he has overseen delivery portfolios encompassing product engineering, enterprise systems implementation, and extensive digital transformation initiatives.
Throughout the last year, he has actively contributed to facilitating Sonata Software's evolution into an AI-centric organization. This includes efforts connected to their Responsible-first AI strategy and the Harmoni.AI platform.
In recent quarters, he has played a pivotal role in enhancing operational margins by implementing strategies focused on efficient execution and leveraging technological advancements.
Before assuming his current role, Datta Roy held the position of Chief Delivery Officer, where he was accountable for overseeing worldwide delivery and operations, while also serving as a member of the executive leadership team.

The board announced that upon the conclusion of his current term on May 8, 2026, Samir Dhir will no longer serve as the managing director and CEO. Additionally, he will resign from his position as executive director on that same date. Dhir will maintain his role as an advisor to the board until December 31, 2026, to facilitate the transition.
