Sundar Pichai Arrives in India for AI Impact Summit

Sundar Pichai has traveled to India to participate in the India AI Impact Summit, during which he is set to present a keynote address on February 20th at 9:30 am. The Indian-born CEO of Google, now based in the US, announced his arrival on social media platform X, expressing his pleasure at being back in India and expressing gratitude for the warm reception from the event organizers.

Pichai also made a lighthearted comment about the morning newspapers, noting that they appeared impressive upon his return.

The AI Impact Summit 2026 is a significant global gathering centered on artificial intelligence that is currently being hosted in New Delhi. Commencing on February 16, this five-day conference is being held at the prestigious Bharat Mandapam venue.

The summit is hosted by the Indian government as part of the IndiaAI Mission and overseen by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Its objective is to advance the responsible and inclusive development of AI, as well as to demonstrate practical examples of artificial intelligence in action.

CEOs of multinational technology companies, government officials, scholars, and prominent figures in various industries are engaged in dialogues centered around innovation, governance, infrastructure, and ethical expansion of artificial intelligence.

 

According to the formal schedule, Pichai is set to give his keynote speech at 9:30 am on February 20. It is anticipated that his address will elucidate Google's perspective on collaborating in AI with India and underscore the potential for digital innovation.

The participation of leaders in technology from around the world highlights India's increasing significance in the digital economy.
