Swiggy, a company specializing in food delivery and quick commerce, has introduced a travel and lifestyle concierge application called Crew, as noted in a brief examination of the app.

Currently in an invite-only phase, the app is being selectively tested and aims to cater to premium consumers seeking convenience during their travels or in everyday situations.

The app is accessible on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, developed by Bundl Technologies Private Limited, which is Swiggy's parent company.

This initiative represents Swiggy's second attempt to attract premium customers following their previous venture, Rare Life.

Last year, Swiggy explored the Rare Life concept, which was a subscription-driven platform designed to provide concierge services for booking upscale events and experiences, although it did not evolve into a functional app.

Reports indicate that Swiggy has been performing internal trials for the Crew app over the past two weeks.

Earlier this year, Swiggy launched Pyng, a marketplace for professional services. This app became available in January and operates in Bengaluru, offering access to various specialists, including health and wellness coaches, financial advisors, event organizers, travel consultants, and spiritual guides.

In March, the company introduced Assure, a business-to-business application for restaurants to procure supplies. This service directly competes with Zomato's Hyperpure. Swiggy has also previously released a standalone application for its quick commerce service, Instamart, adopting a 'house of brands/apps' strategy.
