Tata AutoComp Forms JV With Korea’s Jahwa Electronics

Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd announced a joint venture with Korea's Jahwa Electronics to manufacture and supply advanced low-voltage and high-voltage PTC heaters domestically for electric and hybrid vehicles.
The partnership establishes India as a crucial strategic center for Jahwa, utilizing localized low- and high-voltage PTC heaters to capitalize on the rising EV and hybrid investments from both international and domestic OEMs.

Chanyong Kim, CEO Jahwa Electronics says, "With domestic automakers and global OEMs aggressively scaling investments in electrification, India's electric and hybrid vehicle markets are expanding rapidly”.
“This is a critical juncture for us to establish a firm market entry foundation as a key supplier of both high-voltage and low-voltage PTCs”.

Previously, Tata AutoComp Systems Limited, through its British subsidiary Artifex Interior Systems, has effectively finalized the acquisition of all share capital of IAC Group (Slovakia) s.r.o., an essential supplier to Jaguar Land Rover, Volkswagen, Audi, and Skoda. The entity that is being acquired will change its name to Artifex Systems Slovakia s.r.o.
Simultaneously, Artifex launched its Engineering Centre in Gothenburg, Sweden on 18 February. The facility was opened by Arvind Goel, Vice-Chairman of Tata AutoComp Systems. The new center will enhance Artifex’s engineering and innovation abilities in Europe and facilitate tighter cooperation with customers and partners throughout the region.
