Titagarh Rail Systems Collaborates With TuTr Hyperloop

Rolling stock producer Titagarh Rail Systems announced that it has established a Strategic Collaboration Agreement with TuTr Hyperloop, a tech firm focused on Hyperloop propulsion and innovative mobility solutions.
TuTr Hyperloop, a deep-tech startup incubated at IIT Madras, aims to advance homegrown Hyperloop, magnetic levitation (Maglev), and Linear Induction Motor technologies for high-speed transportation systems for cargo and passengers both in India and internationally.

In a filing with the stock exchange, Kolkata's Titagarh Rail Systems announced that the partnership seeks to create unique freight transportation solutions enabled by Hyperloop technology from India.
“This strategic collaboration brings together TRSL’s proven expertise in the design, engineering and manufacturing of rolling stock with TuTr Hyperloop’s capabilities in Hyperloop propulsion, control systems and advanced mobility technologies. Together, the two companies will evaluate, design, develop, integrate and explore the commercialisation of high-speed, energy-efficient freight transportation systems aligned with future logistics and infrastructure needs,” it says.

The agreement creates an organized framework to evaluate the use of Hyperloop technology for cargo and freight transport in both domestic and international markets. This strategic partnership between Titagarh Rail Systems and TuTr Hyperloop seeks to expedite the creation and implementation of advanced cargo mobility solutions enabled by Hyperloop, utilizing local design, engineering, and manufacturing.
