
Vedanta Plans to Reach 2.5 GW of Green Energy by 2030

With a 1.03 GW growth in renewable energy power capacity, Vedanta Ltd. stated that it is on course to reach 2.5 GW of green energy by 2030.
By means of power supply agreements, the corporation has increased its renewable energy round-the-clock equivalent power capacity to 1.03 GW.
The ambitious objective of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050 or earlier is the reason behind the 2030 target of 2.5 GW of green energy.
A combination of wind, solar, and pump storage technologies are used in the renewable energy projects.
Vedanta may be able to reduce more than 6 million tonnes of carbon emissions a year with the help of the 1 GW renewable energy.
This is about the same as around 350 million trees sequestering carbon each year.
Vedanta is said to take an integrated approach to resource management, and its goal of changing for the better is centered on sustainability.
Vedanta is changing as the Indian economy grows to meet the country's quickly expanding demands.
