VML India Appoints Kunal Roy, Shekhar Khanna in Leadership Roles

VML India has enhanced its management team by naming Kunal Roy as the Managing Partner for the West region and Growth Lead in India, and Shekhar Khanna as the Chief Strategy Officer.

This move emphasizes the company's commitment to growth-oriented, comprehensive solutions and its ongoing efforts to grow in the Indian market.

Kunal Roy has accumulated more than twenty years of expertise in the realm of brand development, business growth, and agency management throughout various regions in Asia.

Before joining VML India, he held the position of CEO at Dentsu Creative in Malaysia, overseeing the consolidation of six different companies into a cohesive creative entity. During his tenure as Group Chief Strategy Officer at Publicis Groupe Malaysia, Roy steered the organization to secure three consecutive Effie Agency of the Year accolades.

Throughout his professional journey, Roy has collaborated with top-tier global brands such as McDonald’s, Samsung, HSBC, Mondelez, Unilever, Nestlé, Adidas, Estée Lauder, and Abbott. Roy will be in charge of the Mumbai office and will work closely with CEO Babita Baruah to increase growth at VML India.

Shekhar Khanna has been appointed as the Chief Strategy Officer, with an extensive 20-year background in the APAC region. His expertise encompasses research, digital, creative, activation, and media, showcasing a proficiency in developing integrated strategies utilizing creativity, media, data, and technology.
