Warner Bros, Bhanushali Studios, JOAT Films Enter into Partnership

To create Indian adaptations of classic Warner Bros. Pictures films, JOAT Films, Bhanushali Studios Limited (BSL), and Warner Bros. Pictures have formed an exclusive five-film strategic agreement.

To create Indian versions of Warner Bros. Pictures films, the studio has signed an exclusive five-film agreement with Bhanushali Studios Limited (BSL) and JOAT Films.

The agreement seeks to preserve the common concepts that make classic WB properties successful around the world while reimagining them through an Indian cultural prism. Global distribution will be managed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Jack Nguyen of JOAT Films, who will co-produce under his current first-look agreement with Warner Bros. Pictures, will contribute his wealth of experience to the partnership.

 

Nguyen, a renowned veteran with more than 30 years of expertise and a background with Warner Bros. Pictures, founded JOAT to independently create and produce captivating motion pictures.

"I'm excited to partner with BSL to adapt Warner Bros. Pictures on titles that will resonate with Indian audiences," said Nguyen. "Warner Bros. Pictures has an unparalleled library from which we will carefully curate select titles for the vibrant Indian market."

Bhanushali Studios Limited, under the leadership of its founder Vinod Bhanushali, has produced content which has garnered acclaim. Their recent film, "Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai," swept five awards at the 2023 Filmfare OTT Awards including Best Web Original Film.
