1. Kindly throw some light on your professional background and experience that directs the company’s progress and helps in moulding strategic business modules for Rohini scientific.
Being a native of Bhadravathi, Karnataka, I have completed my education there itself. Soon after my Masters and PhD in Chemistry, I immediately went to Singapore for post-doctoral research. After spending 3 years there, I shifted to Israel on another new research project. The time spent in Israel made me think more about Agricultural technologies, which integrated with my passion for microbiology and knowledge acquired in my bachelor's degree compelled me to come back to India and start my biotechnological firm Rohini Scientific. Here, apart from ensuring consulting services to farmers and giving value-added services for farm produce, I do
marketing in my way owing to my scientific research experience which has helped me to build a new logical model according to my understanding.

At Rohini Scientific, we have implemented new ideas to enhance our performance both in production and marketing, enabling us to scale up the business in a short time. Our aim is not only to sell our product but also to give an extended service to our end-user, which is quite rare in our sector. Through our team of experienced individuals, we are taking care of our services across various sectors, enabling good traffic for our products and services, and they have been appreciated by many of our Industrial clients and farmers.

2. What were the initial challenges at Rohini scientific that taught you some crucial lessons of company operations?
During the initial days, to build a team of like-minded individuals, product optimization, appropriate raw material procurement, and market penetration were some of the challenges we faced. Gradually we overcame them by taking head-on approaches and started to establish ourselves in the market. In near future, we are planning to open our company outlets in every district of Karnataka. Additionally, we have taken up a project inspired by the Swachh Bharat mission. Here we are mainly concentrating on small towns and villages to overcome the problems related to septic tank/sewage-related issues.

3. How does your experience help you to chalk-out efficient business modules at Rohini scientific?
My decade-long research experience has helped me a lot to scrutinize the products. Also, the analytical skill learned during the research helped me to relook and explore the market trends. I am always correlating my business model with my research. I have compiled the available market data with different parameters and analysed it to make use of the data scientifically. I am very much confident to say, my research experience plays a vital role in developing my business model.
4. How do you ensure to update yourself with the latest industry trends and technologies so that you could always steer your organization towards the zenith?
Learning is a never-ending process and every day I learn from many things, which may be either via books, articles or from my team/clients. But I have made a practice of interacting with my end customers directly (sometimes) which has enlightened me a lot either through their needs/ourproducts performance or their future needs/expectation. Sometimes customers themselves gives hint about the required product and their brief specification, which will help us to make that kind of the product. Hence, we have made a team where they will be in touch with our end users which is directly helping us to promote our business and adopt new technologies.

5. What advice would you like to give to the young entrepreneurs in India and what would tell them to expect in their journey?
I strongly believe organic growth in any profession is highly sustainable because as entrepreneurs they can spend time to understand the business, make mistakes, and learn from the mistakes in every step without much loss. I believe in 3 important ‘P’s as keys to the success of any business which include Passion, Patience and Perseverance. I would like to tell the budding entrepreneurs to select a project or start-up about which they are ‘passionate’. To run a successful project, they must have ‘patience’ because every business needs its own time to develop. ‘Perseverance’ is another important factor, as irrespective of the situation, we should focus on the work and reach our destination, without leaving the ethics.
