Rajendra KC, Co-Founder, Mero Network, speaks with CEO Insights to discuss about his startup and its uniqueness.
What led to the inception of Mero Network?
I was always interested in how computer network works. I could actually track-down any network problem with the help of software combined. This propelled me to incept Mero Network in 2015 in Kathmandu as an IT consulting and digital marketing company. But over time, digital marketing business went down and IT consulting spiked. We pumped our muscles to specialize in offering software consulting.
Tell us more about your offerings.
We serve software products and services that fall between cloud, in-house or both. Our offerings range from CRM, ERP, Travel Management software, Accounting software, HotelSuite ERP, News Management software, digital marketing, business email & servers, manage dedicated or cloud server hosting, IT consulting services & business solutions and many more, though our strength lies in CRM and ERP software.
Through our host of services, we create a real business solution for our clients, which helps them address their concerns effectively and quickly. Together with our network partners, we help customers assess different latest technology and methodology strategies to improve performance, while increase their network strategies with their business process, success and reduced cost.
Are your products off-the-shelf or customized according to client needs?
We do not believe in one-size-fits all philosophy, hence all our products are highly customized. Post studying client requirements, we modify our software accordingly. For instance, one of our management services clients who had clients from various industries and facilities was struggling with daily reports, tasks, billing and management. We customized our ERP accordingly and today, it is one of the main software for them to handle everything related to their business.

I have done many IT related professional courses and even hold bachelor degree from UK. I believe that to lead a company, one needs to be up and running with the current trends in the matter. This is what matters most. My team comprises of seasoned experienced developers who have become experts working for several years with us. We also have other inspiring developers who came from other places. Together, we are strong, big and happy family of 16 members.
