Almost all of us like cars. Owning a car is a dream for most people. When considering purchasing a car, we often go for the more affordable model while anticipating nearly all the newest amenities. It takes some thought to choose, maybe years. A tiny sports car might be appropriate for small families, but not if they have a big one. While a seven-seater is ideal for road trips and camping with friends, it probably won't be delightful when filling up the tank, paying for insurance, or locating street parking. Let's look at some of the affordable cars in the market in 2023.

Renault Kiger

This revolutionary sub-4 meter SUV, which was created and designed for the Indian market, has gained a lot of attention since it is just as eye-catching as the concept. The Renault Kiger is the ideal fusion of style and utility. It stands out from the competition thanks to its dual-tone exteriors, sculpted bonnet, chrome grille, and LED headlamps. The sleek exterior and roomy interior of the car top the list of distinctive characteristics of the Renault Kiger. A wide range of connectivity options is available with the floating 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay replication, voice control, an MP4 video player, and the capacity to pair up to five Bluetooth devices.

Car Holders have access to clean, breathing air thanks to the ventilation system's first-in-segment PM2.5 Clean Air Filter. The Kiger's higher-end models with Multi-Sense settings give the driver a choice between Normal, Eco, and Sport driving modes. The response of the gas pedal, the timing of the gear shifts (in automatic variation), the feel of the steering wheel, and the appearance of a fully-customizable 7.0-inch TFT instrument cluster all change when the driving mode is changed. Other noteworthy features of the new Kiger include the Arkamys 3D sound system, which is driven by eight speakers (four boomers and four tweeters).

One of the safest SUVs in its class thanks to its two front and two side airbags, sturdy construction, and high tensile steel body. The middle passenger in the back receives a two-point seat belt, while the front and rear side seats come standard with a three-point seatbelt. The manufacturer has also added seat belt reminders for both front seats. For safe and secure parking maneuvers, the little SUV also has a rear camera parking system with radar sensors and guiding lines. The SUV's best-in-class turning radius of 5.02 meters is particularly helpful when parking it in confined spaces. In Indian markets, the car's starting road price is 5.45 Lakhs.

Tata Nexon

Nexon price starts from Rs. 7.79 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Nexon comes in 65 variants with nine color options. The price of Nexon petrol models ranges between Rs. 7.79 Lakh to Rs. 13.09 Lakh, while the price of Nexon diesel models starts at Rs. 9.99 Lakh, and the top diesel model is priced at Rs. 14.49 Lakh. Nexon automatic models start from Rs. 9.54 Lakh and come in 29 variants to choose from. Let's look into the exclusive features:

Tata displayed the Altroz Racer version with a more potent 1.2-liter Revotron turbo petrol engine at the 2023 auto show. A new 1.2-liter TGDi petrol engine that was created internally by Tata Motors was also available. One of these two engines will likely be included in Tata's new Nexon once it receives a facelift. There is little doubt that the redesigned Nexon will produce more power and torque than the existing generation. Additionally, we anticipate Tata to replace the present model's 6-speed AMT automatic gearbox with the cutting-edge DCA/DCT automatic in the redesigned Nexon. Already available in Tata Altroz, the DCA/DCT will help Nexon to match up to compact SUVs like Hyundai Venue & Kia Sonet, which already offer an advanced DCT gearbox.

Maruti Baleno

The cost of the five-seater hatchback Maruti Baleno in India ranges from Rs. 6.61 Lakh to Rs. 9.88 Lakh. Six colors and nine variations are offered. The Maruti Baleno is available with CNG and petrol engines that are BS6 compliant. The Baleno's trunk holds 318 liters. Baleno's petrol engine is a 1197cc unit that produces 88.50bhp and 113 nm of torque. Baleno's 1197cc CNG engine produces 113 nm of torque and 88.50 horsepower of power. There are two gearbox choices for the Baleno: manual and automatic. Gas mileage for the Baleno ranges from 22.94 Kmpl to 30.61 km/kg for compressed natural gas. Maruti has released a fresh upgrade to the Baleno's safety features in addition to the recently launched connection features. Electronic Stability Program (ESP) is now standard across all variations of the high-end hatchback. Previously, Delta and Zeta's top-tier Alpha and AMT trims were the only ones that came with the ESP.

Hyundai Creta

The presence of a battery pack on a Hyundai Creta test mule suggests that it may serve as a testing ground for the automaker's mass-market EV. The 1.5-liter NA petrol engine makes 115 PS and 144 Nm, and the 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine makes 115 PS and 250 Nm. Both engines are available in the Hyundai Creta. The base NA petrol engine comes standard with a 6-speed manual gearbox, but you can also buy it with an iMT clutchless manual or an iVT continuously variable (CVT) automatic gearbox. Also available is a 6-speed torque converter for the diesel engine. Both powertrains are compliant with the upcoming RDE norms. The 2022 Hyundai Creta has eight trim levels, including Knight Editions. You can get the base petrol engine with a manual gearbox in the E, EX, S, S+ Knight Edition, SX Executive, and SX variants. The iMT is available in a single S trim level, and the iVT can be had in SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Knight Edition variants.

The 2022 Hyundai Creta retains its current design with LED headlights, DRLs, and taillamps. The higher-spec models come with a variety of 16-inch and 17-inch alloy wheel choices.

On the inside, it is equipped with high-end luxuries, including heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, climate control, cruise control, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, a Bose sound system, and a semi-digital instrument panel. The center console of the highest-end SX(O) models is gloss black. Hyundai's BlueLink suite of connected car capabilities is also included.

Toyota Innova Hycross

The Toyota Innova Hycross is equipped with a strong-hybrid drivetrain that combines a 2.0-liter petrol engine with a strong hybrid engine to provide about 190 PS. Only the front wheels receive power. There isn't a diesel engine option; instead, there is a petrol-only powertrain with a 170PS output. The fuel economy for the hybrid powertrain is 21.1 kmpl. The MPV measures 4,755mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and 1,795mm in height. It had a 2,850mm wheelbase. A big 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver's display, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, and ADAS are just a few of the top new features included in the Innova Hycross.

The keyless entry with push-button start, cruise control, steering-mounted audio controls, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have all been kept. Numerous airbags, ABS with EBD, a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, and hill start assist are just a few of the many safety features that come standard. For the Innova Hycross, Toyota has introduced a new hybrid trim that sits between the VX and ZX trims. The new VX(O) version, which increases the price of the MPV by up to Rs. 75,000, is what also causes the petrol trims to increase in price by Rs 25,000.
