ADAMA Elevates Hongsheng Liu and João Aleixo to EVP Roles

ADAMA Ltd., a prominent worldwide crop protection firm, declared the appointment of Hongsheng Liu as Executive Vice President (EVP) of AI Production, and João Aleixo as EVP for Brazil.
Starting May 2026, these appointments will infuse significant operational, industrial, and regional leadership expertise into vital positions at ADAMA, bolstering manufacturing transformations and expansion in key markets.
Hongsheng Liu has been named EVP of AI Production, starting May 1, 2026. Before taking on this position, Hongsheng was ADAMA's Special Advisor to the CEO on Operations, offering extensive operational knowledge and a wide-ranging leadership viewpoint.
Prior to his tenure with the company, he occupied multiple high-ranking leadership roles at Sinochem and Syngenta Group China, such as CEO of Sinochem International Corporation, President of the Chemical SBU at Sinochem Group, and President of Syngenta Group China.
He additionally holds the position of Board Member at ADAMA Ltd. Hongsheng's substantial industry experience and active participation in ADAMA's operations enable him to effectively guide the upcoming stage of AI production and manufacturing transformation.

João Aleixo was named EVP Brazil starting May 4, 2026. João came to ADAMA from DVA Agro, where he held the position of Global Managing Director, overseeing global P&L and operations in over 50 countries. He possesses extensive expertise in the Brazilian market, international supply chains, and the worldwide off-patent crop protection landscape, along with a proven history of impactful leadership and development.
