Adobe India MD Prativa Mohapatra Announces Exit
Prativa Mohapatra, Vice President and Managing Director of Adobe India, has made it public through a LinkedIn post that she is leaving the company after being in the role of nearly five years.
Her LinkedIn post reads, “Switching gears, taking a pause and refreshing before a new journey. After a very fulfilling nearly 5 years at Adobe India, it’s time to move on. Would like to take this opportunity to thank my customers, partners, colleagues and all stakeholders for their engagement and support along the way. See you on the other side!”
During her time at Adobe, Mohapatra was in charge of the company's India operations and the overall growth strategy of the company across its three main divisions: Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Document Cloud. She was a direct report to Adobe's Asia-Pacific (APAC) president, Simon Tate.

When she came onboard the company, Mohapatra was the first woman to be appointed as the head of the software giant's India operations. Before joining Adobe, she was with IBM where she was the vice president of digital sales for Asia-Pacific. Earlier on, she was the head of IBM's sales division across India and south Asia.

Besides working at Adobe, Mohapatra also served on the Nasscom Executive Council between April 2023 and May 2026. Though she didn't say much about what's next for her career when she announced leaving, she mentioned plans to take a break and then resume her career journey.
Having been a business and technology professional for over 30 years in organizations like PwC, IBM, and Adobe, she loves the idea of collaborating with various organizations, government at different levels, and society altogether, to come out as winners from the challenges of these times.
Leveraging her extensive background, she collaborates with organizations in identifying, getting ready for, and incorporating technologies that empower them to not only survive but thrive during times of such upheaval.

Having studied MBA from XIM University Bhubaneswar, she is well versed in Finance and systems. Besides, she has also received Consumer Products Insights & Solutions (Gold) from IBM and SAP certificate as well.
Being skilled in business development, management, IT outsourcing, Vendor management, business process and so on, she started her career in 1994 with PwC as a Senior Managing consultant.
