Andhra Aims to Attain $3.4 Trillion Economy by 2047

The government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to attain its continuous high growth to create a Rs 308 lakh crore (USD 3.4 trillion) economy with a per capita income of Rs 55 lakh by the year 2047, stated Governor S Abdul Nazeer in the Assembly.
Amid the chanting by YSRCP MLAs demanding Opposition Party status, a joint session of the Andhra Pradesh Legislature commenced here with the Governor's address.
The YSRCP members, spearheaded by ex-Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, subsequently performed a walkout.
Reddy is returning to the House after nearly a year. His most recent attendance was on February 24, 2025.
"The administration has advanced with determination and purpose. The Swarna Andhra Vision establishes a straightforward economic trajectory, targeting consistent high growth to create a Rs 308 lakh crore economy with a per capita income of Rs 55 lakh by 2047," states the Governor.

Starting in 2024, the state government has promptly worked to fulfill its promises, initiating the "Super Six" guarantees, which have turned out to be a "super-hit" and rank among the largest DBT programs worldwide, with an expenditure of around Rs 33,000 crore annually, he stated.

Via "Thalliki Vandanam," financial support of Rs 15,000 annually is directly deposited into more than 66 lakh bank accounts of mothers with students, regardless of the number of children, allowing them to pursue education from Classes I to Intermediate without financial burden, he added.

The "Sthree Shakti" complimentary bus travel initiative, introduced last Independence Day, has facilitated 37.8 crore free trips for women and transgenders throughout the state, he stated.
The Assembly is anticipated to continue from February 11 until March 12, an official announcement stated earlier.
