Tata Communications Appoints Siddhartha Mundra as CFO

Tata Communications, a prominent global player in communications technology, has declared the appointment of Siddhartha Mundra as its Chief Financial Officer. He will start with the firm as Chief Financial Officer–Designate on February 23, 2026, and will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer on May 1, 2026.

Mundra has over 22 years of varied experience covering corporate finance, strategy, business operations, private equity, and technology. Throughout his career, he has occupied senior leadership positions in some of India’s largest business conglomerates, including in a publicly traded company.

He serves as Vice President and is a member of the Group CFO & Group Strategy Office at Tata Sons, a role he has occupied since December 2020. Before that, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Shankara Building Products Limited. His previous positions feature Director at Fairwinds Private Equity and Associate Vice President at ICICI Venture. Mundra started his career as a software engineer at Cisco Systems in Bengaluru.

Mundra possesses a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad and earned a Gold Medal in B.Tech Computer Science from NIT Warangal.

The company announced that the Board appointed Siddhartha Mundra as Chief Financial Officer during its meeting on February 10, 2026, following the suggestions from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee of the Board.
