A.R. Rahman Launches ARR Immersive App on Apple Vision Pro

A.R. Rahman, an Academy Award and Grammy-winning composer, producer, and storyteller, has unveiled the ARR Immersive App on Apple Vision Pro, presenting a new visionOS platform that delivers immersive storytelling, music, and spatial experiences to audiences via spatial computing.
Accessible on the Apple App Store for Apple Vision Pro, the app represents Rahman’s ongoing investigation into new technologies and creative formats, delivering unique immersive experiences crafted for an interactive spatial setting.
The ARR Immersive App debuts with unique content designed for the platform, featuring three Kathak dance shows accompanied by Western classical pieces — Clair de Lune, Rachmaninoff, and Fur Elise.
The shows showcase artists Pranith AP, Palak Chauhan, and Mudra IV, with choreography by Kathak dancer Shrita Baskar. The performances merge renowned Western classical music with Indian classical dance, shaping a cross-cultural immersive experience.

The app additionally offers unique content from Le Musk, A.R. Rahman’s renowned 360° virtual reality movie that debuted at the Cannes XR Festival. The experience has been modified specifically for Apple Vision Pro’s focused viewing environment and improved with new spatial audio mixes generated using Apple’s ASAF (Apple Spatial Audio Format), allowing for a three-dimensional audio experience made for the platform.
Moreover, the ARR Live area of the app will feature Rahman’s concert performances and captured live experiences, with more immersive content being developed for upcoming releases.
Commenting on the launch, A.R. Rahman said, “My journey with immersive storytelling began over a decade ago with Le Musk, exploring new languages of story through 3D, 360° VR, spatial experiences and scent".
"The ARR Immersive App was born from a desire to go further, where technology doesn’t replace emotion, but deepens it.”
The introduction of the ARR Immersive App showcases the increasing merging of music, film, technology, and spatial computing, providing audiences innovative methods to engage with creative content outside conventional displays. Via the platform, Rahman persists in exploring immersive formats that merge artistic expression with developments in digital technology.
