Hines, a worldwide manager of real assets investments, today revealed that Amit Diwan has been named to the newly created position of Head of Asia Pacific and the Middle East, as the company develops its platform to improve coordination, consistency, and execution speed in two regions recognized as vital growth drivers for the next ten years and beyond.

Diwan, formerly Head of India, will guide the firm through some of the globe's most vibrant markets for real asset growth and development as client demands have increasingly become more regional and cross-border. Diwan boasts almost 25 years of experience throughout India and the Asia Pacific area.

After guiding the company’s platform in India during a phase of significant growth, Diwan will collaborate with Hines’ market leaders in Asia Pacific and the Middle East to apply the firm’s distinctive, vertically-integrated global investment and development expertise, along with profound local market knowledge, for the benefit of investors, occupiers, and clients.

Steve Luthman, Global Head of Real Estate at Hines  says, “Asia Pacific and the Middle East are central to Hines’ long-term growth strategy.  Amit brings a strong track record of leadership from India, one of our most dynamic platforms, and a clear understanding of how to build local teams, partner with capital, and deliver high-quality outcomes.”

“It is a privilege to take on this role at a moment when Asia Pacific and the Middle East are both entering a new phase of opportunity. Our focus will remain on disciplined growth, local market excellence, and the long-term partnerships that have always defined Hines,’ says Amit Diwan.
