Aviva Appoints Rajesh Shankar as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer
Aviva India, a prominent private life insurance firm in India, has declared the appointment of Rajesh Shankar Dhane to the position of Chief Legal and Compliance Officer.
Rajesh has more than twenty years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry, possessing extensive knowledge in legal strategy, regulatory matters, compliance, litigation management, and corporate governance.
Throughout his career, he has occupied senior leadership positions at prominent insurance companies such as SBI General Insurance, Tata AIG Life Insurance, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, HDFC ERGO General Insurance, and, most recently, ACKO General Insurance.
In his new position, Rajesh will lead Aviva India’s legal and compliance operations, enhance governance structures, oversee legal and regulatory risks, and assist the company’s strategic growth objectives, while promoting a robust culture of ethics and compliance throughout the organization.
