Chevron's new centre in Bengaluru is expected to generate substantial employment opportunities for local professionals. The centre will play a crucial role in addressing global energy challenges by focusing on the development of clean, low-carbon fuels. Additionally, the Bengaluru-based team will manage complex global operations and energy projects in partnership with international stakeholders.

Dr. Akshay Sahni, Country Head of Chevron India, stated, "This centre will provide an opportunity for India's exceptional talent to work with the resources and expertise of our global network to provide affordable, reliable clean energy".

Bengaluru is already home to over 500 Global Competence Centres (GCCs), accounting for more than 30% of India’s GCCs across sectors like finance, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing.
