Cohesity, a leader in AI-powered data security, today announced the opening of a new regional office in Bangalore. This announcement elevates the Bangalore facility to a truly global hub for innovation, R&D, customer engagement, and talent-driven growth for Cohesity.

The investment, along with recent expansions to the facility in Pune, further underlines India’s pivotal role in shaping the future of the company’s solutions and global strategy. It also marks a defining milestone in Cohesity’s continued expansion of global AI-driven data security market leadership. This announcement comes as the company reaches the one-year milestone of the successful integration with Veritas’ data protection business.

Sanjay Poonen, CEO and president, Cohesity says, “The opening of our new Bangalore office marks a profound milestone for Cohesity — one that reflects our belief in India as a global engine of innovation, resilience, and growth. We are investing even more in expanding the talented teams here, and they are building the future of data security and empowering our customers to build cutting-edge, AI-driven security and resilience capabilities. In a global business environment of increasing threats from malicious cyber actors, it is especially pleasing for me that my hometown of Bangalore is playing such a critical role for Cohesity in ensuring that everything from patients in hospitals, critical water and power delivery, and sensitive personal financial records are all protected - in India and all around the world!”

A New Workspace Designed for Innovation, Sustainability, and Collaboration

The new Bangalore facility represents an increase of more than double the capacity and office space size compared to the previous Cohesity offices in the city. Its design prioritises a more hybrid, collaborative way of working, with Wellness rooms, expanded meeting and interaction spaces, and significant investment in sustainable materials throughout. As a result, it has achieved LEED Gold certification, underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainability, employee well-being, and responsible growth.

A Strategic Milestone for Cohesity Globally

India has consistently hosted a robust and dedicated customer base for Cohesity and is included in a global community of over 13,000 customers that accounts for 70 percent of the Global 500. In the last year, this community of local and international customers has grown considerably. Four out of the five largest banks in India, along with three of the top four telecommunications firms in the nation, rely on Cohesity for essential data security needs, alongside prominent global organizations like Infosys, BMW, Delta Air Lines, Salesforce, FedEx, Toyota, and NEC.

Recent global research by Cohesity indicates that 76 percent of organizations have faced at least one significant cyberattack that resulted in tangible financial, reputational, operational, or customer turnover consequences, highlighting the increasing need for advanced, modern data security solutions. Consequently, organizations are progressively embracing the Cohesity Data Cloud, a robust platform that safeguards, secures, and offers insights into corporate data, irrespective of its whereabouts. Cohesity enables customers to safeguard and defend their complete data environment using one platform. These abilities diminish the threat from malicious actors and allow for faster reaction and recuperation from harmful cyberattacks, while also offering useful understanding of their information.

Today's announcement signifies the next stage of development and creativity for these products, and the expanding team along with the new Bangalore facilities will be essential in driving this advancement.
