Dainik Bhaskar Group has named Durga Chakraborty as the corporate sales head for South India, demonstrating a major move in the company's strategic growth in the area. With more than 20 years of varied experience in broadcast, print, radio, and online media in India and the USA, Durga brings extensive industry knowledge to the senior leadership team at DB Corp. 

Her professional background demonstrates a successful history of fostering growth, creating effective teams, and formulating influential content and sales strategies.

Prior to working at DB Corp, Durga held the position of associate vice president at Sony Pictures Networks. At Sony, she was responsible for overseeing important verticals including SAB TV, FTA, Kids, and the English Cluster.

Durga's expertise in business development, expanding regionally, engaging clients, and strategic planning make her well-suited to drive the growth of DB Corp in South India.

Durga will report to Mayar Penkar, chief operating officer – corporate sales, who commented: “Durga’s appointment marks a transformative step for DB Corp’s ambitions in South India. Her extensive industry knowledge, team-building capabilities, and client-centric leadership will enable us to achieve new milestones in the region.”

Durga, as the head of South India, will lead important business strategies, improve customer-focused approaches, support successful teams, and reaffirm DB Corp's dedication to providing effective solutions.

This will strengthen the organization's goal of being a market leader and promoting innovation.

India's biggest newspaper network, the Dainik Bhaskar Group, declared the release of its digital platform, the Dainik Bhaskar App, in Uttarakhand, which signifies a significant achievement in its plan for growth in the northern region.

The prestigious gathering took place at Hyatt Centric Hotel in Dehradun and was attended by Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, and Head of Parmarth Niketan Swami Chidanand Saraswati. They were accompanied by Deputy Managing Director Pawan Agarwal and Managing Editor Jagdish Sharma of Dainik Bhaskar Group to launch the latest application.
