Eaton Reshapes its India Electrical Business with Binod Muni

Eaton, a leader in power management solutions, has officially named Binod Muni as the new Managing Director for its Electrical division in India. Muni will be taking over from Syed Sajjadh Ali, who had a successful 17-year tenure enhancing Eaton's Electrical business in India.

In his new role, Muni will have the responsibility of advancing Eaton's strategic objectives for its Electrical business in India.

Muni commenced his role as the Country Head for Sales and Marketing at Eaton in August 2024. Before joining Eaton, he served in prominent leadership positions at multinational corporations such as Saint-Gobain, Carrefour, and Schneider Electric.

With more than two decades of professional experience encompassing sales, business development, and finance, Muni has been tasked with driving forward Eaton's strategic objectives in the Indian market.

His responsibilities involve increasing market presence through unique go-to-market approaches, expediting the launch of new products, and enhancing technology localization in accordance with customer needs and regulatory standards.

 

One of the main areas of emphasis will be value engineering, designed to provide cost-effective solutions while maintaining performance, as well as enhancing operational efficiency and supply chain resilience.

Eaton has placed a growing emphasis on localization as a strategy to enhance response times and improve long-term competitiveness within India's manufacturing industry. Muni commenced his tenure at Eaton in August 2024 in the capacity of Country Head for Sales and Marketing, providing him with an initial glimpse into the company's activities and clientele in India.

Before joining Eaton, Muni held executive positions at various multinational firms such as Saint-Gobain, Carrefour, and Schneider Electric, thereby accumulating a wealth of diverse experience in industrial and electrical sectors.

Upon his appointment, Muni expressed that the company is strategically positioned to cater to India's developing electrical and energy demands by means of innovation, collaborations, and a proficient local workforce.

Eaton has had a presence in India for over twenty years and currently has a workforce of over 6,300 individuals spread across its innovation center, manufacturing sites, and commercial branches.

In line with its 'Make in India' initiative, the company remains committed to enhancing its local capacities and has established a strong foothold in various sectors including electrical, mobility, aerospace, and digital technologies through ongoing investments.

Eaton has a global presence, specializing in power management solutions for a wide range of sectors including data centers, utilities, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, residential properties, aerospace, and mobility applications.

In 2024, the company generated close to $25 billion in revenue and operates in over 160 countries, with a particular emphasis on India as a significant growth market in its worldwide operations.
