
Egyptian Foreign Minister Arrives in Delhi for India-Egypt Talk

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty reached New Delhi to take part in the first-ever India-Egypt Strategic Dialogue. This gathering offers both nations a chance to assess the advancement achieved in executing the India-Egypt Strategic Partnership and to share perspectives on regional and international matters.
"It was a privilege to meet with His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of Egypt during the Gaza Peace Summit in Sharm El Sheikh. Egypt and India share a significant and vibrant strategic partnership. The Summit underscored the global commitment to peace and dialogue. India reaffirms its unwavering dedication to peace, stability, and enduring security within the Middle East," Singh posted on X.

"Warm welcome to FM Badr Abdelatty of Egypt. He has arrived in New Delhi for the 1st India-Egypt Strategic Dialogue. An opportunity to review progress in the implementation of India-Egypt Strategic Partnership and exchange views on regional and global issues," MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal wrote on X.
Throughout his stay, Abdelatty will conduct a courtesy visit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, hold discussions with important ministers such as S Jaishankar and Piyush Goyal, connect with corporate executives, and communicate with different media organizations.
As stated by Egypt's Foreign Affairs Ministry, Abdelatty has planned several bilateral discussions with high-ranking Indian government representatives, along with leaders of prominent Indian corporations, to enhance bilateral ties and the strategic alliance between both nations.

At the beginning of this week, External Affairs Minister of State Kirti Vardhan Singh had a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi during the Gaza Peace Summit that took place in Sharm el-Sheikh.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) reports that External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar conducted multiple telephone conversations with Foreign Minister Abdelatty over recent months, particularly following the Pahalgam terrorist incident on April 22 and Operation Sindoor.
In June, a senior multi-party Indian delegation headed by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP) leader Supriya Sule engaged productively with prominent Egyptian Senate members, expressing India's unwavering stance against terrorism.

The delegation conducted meetings with Senator Hossam Al-Khouly from the Mostaqbal Watan Party, Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Hazem Omar, and various other Parliamentary Committee leaders and members.
The Senate expressed its continued support for India and emphasized the significance of the strong strategic alliance between the two nations.
During Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 2023 visit to Egypt, he and President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi executed an accord to upgrade their bilateral ties to a "Strategic Partnership" level.
