FlixBus, Ministry of Tourism Promote India as Global Destination

FlixBus has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, on World Tourism Day to collaboratively enhance India's image as a leading global destination and advocate for responsible tourism through its expanding network.
The MoU was executed in the presence of Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of Tourism, Government of India, Bhuvnesh Kumar, Secretary, and Suman Billa, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tourism.

Through the MoU, FlixBus will incorporate destination-centric content and the Incredible India brand into its platform, featuring co-branded Incredible India buses on certain intercity routes.
In addition, FlixBus introduced Trails of India, a specialized microsite on its platform showcasing thematic travel routes and destination highlights to motivate and assist travelers through the varied landscapes of India.
The collaboration will support Har Safar, Swachh Safar, a national responsible tourism initiative designed to foster a culture of conscious travel among India’s expanding intercity traveler community, motivating passengers to honor local communities, minimize their environmental impact, and adopt sustainable travel habits.
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Government of India, says, "India’s tourism landscape is as diverse as the country itself, with countless destinations offering distinctive cultural, natural and local experiences beyond the well-known tourist circuits".
"Our partnership with FlixBus brings together its technology-enabled platform and intercity network with the Ministry’s vision of taking India’s tourism story to a wider audience".
"As we connect travellers with a broader range of destinations, it is equally important to foster greater awareness of responsible travel, encouraging journeys that are enriching for visitors while contributing positively to the local communities and destinations they encounter.”

Bhuvnesh Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, says, “Mobility can play a transformative role in bringing destinations closer to travellers, particularly those that lie beyond the established tourism circuits. FlixBus intends to launch a co-branded coach featuring the Incredible India branding that will run on specific intercity routes, making each trip a reflection of India's tourism narrative.
