Freshworks Appoints Kady Srinivasan as CMO

Kady Srinivasan, previously holding the position of chief marketing officer at You.com, has been selected to serve as the chief marketing officer at Freshworks. In a note announcing her departure from You.com, Srinivasan wrote, “After a short but thrilling few months at You.com, I am leaving to pursue another exciting opportunity”.

Prior to joining You.com, Srinivasan held the position of Chief Marketing Officer at Lightspeed Inc., a company that is publicly traded and has generated more than $ 1 billion in revenue. During her time there, she was able to significantly increase market share in important regions by shifting the business towards an ICP-led strategy.

She also managed to quadruple marketing efficiency and led efforts to expand geographically and across different domains in order to enhance the product-market alignment. She previously held the position of Klaviyo's initial worldwide marketing leader and acted as the effective general manager of its product-driven growth division.

In her time in this role, the organization saw a substantial increase in yearly recurring revenue, rising from $150 million to $600 million. She expanded the marketing team from 15 members to 150, orchestrated a thorough rebranding effort, introduced a fresh category positioning strategy, achieved a 50 percent annual growth rate for the PLG business, and implemented the enterprise go-to-market strategy for Klaviyo.

Before joining Klaviyo, Srinivasan served as the Chief Revenue Officer at Owlet, where she played a crucial role in expanding the company's revenue from $30 million to $100 million, even amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to her time at Owlet, she held the position of Global Head of Go-to-Market Marketing at Dropbox, providing significant contributions to the company's growth phase prior to its initial public offering.

Her previous work experience includes positions held at renowned companies such as Intel, Clarkston Consulting, Ubisoft, Betable, and Electronic Arts.

 

Furthermore, Freshworks has communicated to its clients its intention to cease the use of Freshteam, an HR and employee management software, in order to streamline operations and enhance its dedication to developing a cohesive employee experience platform. Freshworks does not publicly reveal specific figures regarding customer base or revenue generated by any particular product line.

Freshworks announced that commencing on March 7, 2026, they will cease the renewal of Freshteam subscriptions. Following this date, options for annual, semi-annual, and quarterly renewals will no longer be available, although customers will retain access to the product until the expiration of their existing subscription term.

To give customers ample transition time, the company announced that it will offer one-year contract renewals for agreements that end prior to March 7, 2026. This extension will allow users to continue utilizing Freshteam until April 2027.
