FSSAI Suspends Rehaan Healthcare License Over Food Safety Issues
The FSSAI has revoked the license of Rehaan Healthcare due to significant rule violations discovered in the production of the company's health supplements and nutraceuticals.
Rehaan Healthcare, known for producing digestive syrup, multi-vitamin syrup, and various syrup-based food items, has been instructed to halt production until it rectifies all deficiencies and the corrections receive verification from the appropriate Authority.
In a social media post, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) informed that "The license of Rehaan Healthcare has been suspended following serious non compliance observed during the inspection of its health supplements and nutraceuticals manufacturing unit."

The FSSAI cautioned that if the company disobeys this directive, legal measures will be taken. The regulatory body has instructed the company to stop all food-related operations immediately until all issues are resolved and compliance is confirmed by the Competent Authority.
Additionally, FSSAI noted that the manufacturing facilities received an overall compliance rating of 12 percent.
"Sediments of filth & sludge accumulated under the manufacturing tank, disorganised storage of raw materials and poor housekeeping created a serious risk of cross-contamination," it adds.
The poor score signals "extremely serious failure and non-adherence to current regulations," stated the FSSAI. The regulatory body indicated that production facilities were very unsanitary and disordered. Accumulated sediments of dirt and sludge beneath the production tank, haphazard storage of raw materials, and inadequate cleanliness posed a significant threat of cross-contamination.
"As the unit manufactures Health Supplements and Nutraceuticals, a high-risk category of food consumed by children and other vulnerable groups, the unhygienic conditions and failure of food safety controls pose a serious and imminent threat to public health," the FSSAI says.
The regulator noted the presence of spider webs, mould, flies, insects, and open food waste in the production area.

Recently, FSSAI has taken action against numerous energy drink and alcoholic beverage companies for deceptive claims and labeling. It has likewise sent notifications to several e-commerce platforms. These measures stem from consumer grievances, suo-moto awareness, and ongoing enforcement efforts by food safety officials.
In response to increasing worries about milk adulteration and food safety throughout India, the Milk Dairy Business Association (All India Registered), Shivpuri Chapter, has ramped up its efforts to promote stricter implementation of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) regulations. The initiative is led by the Association’s National Secretary General, Narendra Kumar Mandil, who has urged for compulsory registration of milk producers and sellers along with increased accountability across the dairy supply chain.
The campaign follows the consultation by FSSAI’s Regulatory Compliance Division (File No. RCD-11003/1/2021-Regulatory-FSSAI (Part-1) [E-10397], released on March 11, 2026.

Following the state directive, authorities have been ordered to carry out thorough inspections of milk chilling facilities, dairy operations, milk collection points, wholesalers, and other food industry players. Authorities have been instructed to gather sufficient samples of questionable milk and dairy products, employ mobile food testing labs and "Magic Box" testing kits, and begin seizure and sealing actions if adulteration is found.
