Hyundai Motor India Integrates 30,000 EV Charging Points

Renowned automobile company Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) announced that electric vehicle users can now utilize over 30,000 charging stations nationwide through its myHyundai app, establishing one of India's largest unified electric vehicle charging networks on a single platform.
The firm stated that the platform has been created in collaboration with top charge point operators (CPOs) and service providers, and is accessible to electric vehicles of all brands.
In addition to finding nearby charging stations, the myHyundai app enables users to route to charging locations, reserve charging spots ahead of time, and process digital payments through a single interface.
HMIL stated that the interconnected network offers charging station access within an average range of 25 km throughout India, encompassing key highway routes like Delhi-Gurugram-Jaipur, Mumbai-Pune-Bengaluru, Mumbai-Ratnagiri-Goa, Chennai-Vellore-Bengaluru, and Hyderabad-Kurnool-Bengaluru.

Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of HMIL, stated that charging infrastructure is essential for the adoption of electric vehicles in India.
"Through the integration of over 30,000 charging points on the myHyundai app, we are empowering EV users with one of India's largest charging networks accessible through a single platform. Importantly, the platform is open to EV owners across brands, reinforcing HMIL's commitment to developing India's broader EV ecosystem," he says.
Additionally, the firm revealed intentions to increase its exclusive DC fast public charging network from the existing 183 stations to 600 stations by 2030.
HMIL reports that its charging network has facilitated over three lakh EV charging sessions and provided more than 50 lakh kWh of energy.
According to the statement, the utilization of its charging stations has contributed to preventing approximately 3.5 million kg of carbon dioxide emissions. The organization is additionally getting ready to enhance its electric vehicle lineup by introducing a mass-market electric SUV within the ongoing financial year.
Earlier, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has unveiled the Hyundai Innovation Challenge 2026, a six-month initiative designed to collaborate with startups creating solutions in mobility and automotive technologies.

Backed by ZER01NE, Hyundai Motor Group’s worldwide open innovation platform, the project aims to discover and partner with startups focused on sectors like electrification, innovative mobility, connectivity, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), AI-based solutions, and next-gen vehicle technologies.
The initiative aims to give startups the chance to collaboratively create solutions alongside HMIL, in addition to granting access to the company’s ecosystem, expert guidance, Proof-of-Concept (PoC) funding, and potential commercialization avenues.

The company states that applications will be evaluated continuously, with in-depth analyses of technology and product preparedness following this process. Startups that are shortlisted will subsequently showcase their solutions to HMIL’s leadership team at the final selection phase.
