The capacity that has been officially authorized has concluded its trial operations with success and has obtained the endorsement of the Northern Regional Load Despatch Centre (NRLDC).
The commencement of commercial operations took place on December 24, 2025. It is anticipated that the remaining capacity of 40 MWh will be put into operation soon. Once the full 100 MWh capacity is operational, the project is poised to become one of the largest operational Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in India. This will create significant opportunities for generating merchant revenue through peak arbitrage, grid balancing services, and participating in ancillary markets.
Juniper Green Energy has also established 400 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity at Fatehgarh in Rajasthan. This installation is anticipated to be operational by the first quarter of 2026, enhancing the company's storage capabilities and securing its future growth prospects.
