Mixx Technologies Acquires Sophic Silicon, Partners with Kaynes Semico
Mixx Technologies, Inc., a US-based venture-funded deep-tech firm developing the interconnect layer for hyperscale AI infrastructure, today unveiled two concurrent strategic initiatives that significantly shape India's semiconductor landscape.
Initially, the purchase of Sophic Silicon Technologies, a semiconductor IP design company located in Bengaluru and a recipient of India's DLI, is significant as its analog mixed-signal design proficiency now forms a core part of Mixx's co-packaged optics platform.
Secondly, a partnership with Kaynes Semicon Private Limited, an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) expert and beneficiary of India's Production Linked Incentive (PLI) program, aims to create a testing and assembly facility that will aid Mixx's optical IC packaging strategy.
Collectively, the two announcements mark the inaugural occasion a global deep-tech firm has established both the design and production aspects of an advanced AI silicon platform in India, transforming the nation's policy goals into practical outcomes.
